Fortune Island Batangas - March 2018

Wassap mumshies!! I am so back with flying colors HAHA
I know super late na nitong post na to kasi buntis pa ako during this trip and now 8 months na yung aking munting prinsesa. Anyway bago pa ako lipasan ng sipag I will proceed na.

March 23, 2018
Galing kami sa Silang Cavite and arrived to Brgy. Wawa around 10:00 AM.
Pag pasok palang namin sa area halos harangin na kami ng mga tao trying to offer us their boat going to Fortune island.

We are group of 11 at natawaran namin ng PHP 4200 yung boat (not sure if napamura ba kami or napamahal kasi I did not prepare during our trip. Go with the flow lang ako)

By the way, hi-way ito pala yung rate nila on the island:
PHP 300 Day trip
PHP 400 Overnight
We paid for 10 pax only (Oha! discounted yung isa LOL)

Parking fee:PHP 100 Day trip
PHP 200 Dvernight

Fortune island is a private property kaya kailangan talagang mabayad ng fees.
At first medyo hesitant yung boatman kasi I was pregnant that time. Parang takot sila na isakay ako pero sabi ko never fear, I am here charot. Nagexplain ako na I am still fit to travel and by 10:30 AM nasa boat na kami.
Malakas yung alon kahit maaraw pero buti nalang malaking boat yung nakuha namin. I think kasya ang 15-20 passengers dun.
Hanapin niyo nalang kung asan ako diyan HAHA

11:30 AM Arrived at Fortune Island.
Preparing for transport CHAROT HAAHAH

Photos from my cous Jaymee

Ang dumi rin nung island parang yagit, siguro wala lang kami sa timing and kahit ganun yung experience I will still go back. Yes, I am giving the place a chance.

Boatmen offered us a  side trip to white sand beach kasi nga ramdam nila na disappointed kami. They just asked for PHP 500 for the gas.

Our lunch? 3 pieces squid and 1 whole tuna for PHP 1000 then we paid for the cottage na tumataginting na PHP 500 but wait! there's more, shocked kami na may bayad pang  PHP 100 per head pero sabi namin sa boat nalang kami kakain kaya ayun pumayag na PHP 500 nalang ibayad namin. Grabe no? hold up tong trip na to! HAHA

Tara kain!
Tips:
Mas mura if diretso boatman na kausapin niyo kasi yung mali namin is meron kaming middle man.

I just want to share our trip and I hope huwag kayong madiscourage na bisitahin yung place. You should see it yourself kasi iba iba naman tayo ng pananaw sa buhay. blah blah blah.

Okay. Salamat sa pagbabasa.

Nagmamahal,
Ate Charotera! LOL
Lovezzzz yah guise!

South Cebu - 500 Peso challenge

1/29/2018 Family Reunion
Yung 9:00 AM flight namin delayed na move siya to 1:00 PM.

3:00 PM Arrived at Mactan international airport.
Walang kwenta, kami lang na move samantalang un ibang kamag anak namin with same flight number hindi delayed. What sorcery is that? I asked for explanation but not clear information from them. Pati sila clueless. Kaya nagpa chicken joy nalang sila, sayang nga kasi konting oras nalang free flight na sana yung kapalit.

Exploring South Cebu | Sample itinerary

This is not my first time visiting Cebu. I already explored north Cebu (Bantayan Island) that's why I was excited when my Auntie told me to make another itinerary for our family trip in South Cebu.
Hindi lang ito basta basta trip kundi isang malaking reunion na rin for our family since it's been ages since the last time we saw each other.

Here's the itinerary I made before our trip.

February 14-15 2018 - Hongkong virgins Part 1 / Disney land and Ladies Market

Sobrang haba ng preparation namin for this trip and nag research talaga ako ng mabuti to make sure maayos ang lahat, from the tourist spots to visit, itinerary, budget and most importantly on how to pass immigration(PH and HK) without any hassle ang dami kasing horror stories about tourists sent home. Diba ang sakit sa puso.

Unplanned trip to Binukbok Viewpoint resort

October 30-31, 2016
Unplanned trips are the best! Madalas kung ano pa yung biglaan yun pa yung mas natutuloy. Sa totoo lang sunod sunod yung beach trip ko pati savings ko naghihingalo na! lol but when my friend asked me if I am interested in joining them to go freediving sa Binukbok 2days prior I immediately said YES! Wala ng paligoy ligoy pa. Feeling ko talaga I need the ocean more often to divert myself from overthinking, nababaliw na kasi ako and I need to be pre occupied. I do not want to share more details about what bothers me pero I will share nalang my experience in this place.

Home of gentle people - Dumaguete to Siquijor

Day 0: August 17 2016

On the date of our trip concerned citizen of the Philippines (officemates/friends) warned us about the old beliefs in siquijor. Sabi nila if someone tries to touch us eh we have to tap whoever that is back, some believed that it’s the mangbabarang's way of passing bad luck. I DON'T KNOW but there's no harm on being cautious. Some also says don't spit as they might use it against you to make you sick. I am not sure if these people really care or just wanted to scare the hell out of me! Lol
Surprisingly there's no traffic on our way to the airport.

We decided to kill our extra time near the boarding gate while contemplating about why does army navy named their fries freedom.

We're supposed to be boarding at 11:30 AM but I am hearing announcements of delayed flights due to some aircraft servicing issues that's why I prepared myself for the worst to happen. I JUST hope that we arrive at Dumaguete airport before dawn because we would like to catch the last boat trip to Siquijor which is 6:00 o'clock in the evening.

12:15 PM Boarded the aircraft

1:50 PM Safely landed at Dumaguete Airport

2:15 PM Sibulan Sea port - They have several ferry company that could bring you to Siquijor - Just pick who got the earliest trip it's just a 1 hour ride anyway.

From the Airport - we hailed a tricycle to bring us to Sibulan Port We bought tickets to siquijor for 3:30 PM. We ate lunch while waiting for our boarding time
Ticket price: PHP 100/pax
Terminal fee: PHP 15/pax

2:50 PM Boarding time
3:40 PM Off to siquijor

It was one hell of a ride. Not a smooth ride at all but we're still happy as the sun is shining gracefully from above. It's been raining in the last few days and I am really looking forward to see the sun up there.

I couldn't remember how many times my stomach got upset that's why I had to force myself to sleep.

5:30 PM Touch down Siquijor

What I notice from this place is people are not aggressive. Based from our previous trips most of the time some local folks tend to overwhelm tourists offering tours and since I was already expecting that to happen I avoid eye contact as much as I can.

As we exited the port peacefully staring blankly, not looking left nor right as I am not planning to rent a guide to explore the island, the locals remained calm. Although I am not making any eye contact I can see on my peripherals that they stay on the same spot and just telling what they have for us on a very soft tone. I will probably name this  island "home of gentle people", yes just like the people of Dumaguete.

Outside the port we saw couple of motorbikes to rent, we picked the scoopy again and paid for it.

Motorbike Rent: PHP 350
We missed the sunset. Fucking waze, it pointed us to an incorrect location.
This is what's left when we arrived

We asked couple of locals and we finally located The Bruce resort unfortunately they are already fully booked but the good thing about it is we spotted a very affordable place to stay for only PHP 350.

A Tiny room with own bath is not bad at all. Bought toiletries and got our tank full
Dinner on a road side eatery with this cutie on the side

Siquijor is a small island with few towns, you can pretty much do a coastal tour for a day, since we arrived late we decided to call it a day and get more sleep as much as we can in preparation for the next day's activity. Tomorrow will be more awesome :)

Spots to visit in Isla de Gigantes - Island of Giants

Day 3: February 13
Island of giants or known as Islas De Gigantes is the one of the laid back islands I set my foot in. I discovered this place because of the famous jaw dropping view of Cabugao Island.

Family Time - Ilo-Ilo bound and Estancia town

Day 1: February 11

2:30 PM We arrived at NAIA Terminal 3, what's nice is upon entering the airport road they already created a special lane for vehicles going to NAIA 3. No need to worry about missing your flight due to traffic. It was a relief on our part because we departed the house at 2PM and our flight is 4:00 PM.

First climb never dies - The Pico De Loro adventure

It was way back in 2011 when we decided to conquer the summit of Pico De Loro.
It was my first hike but I am not hoping it would not be the last though.
It was indeed a fun hike but remembering that this mountain broke my heart and at the same time taught me the most important life lesson that all of us should do; to love yourself more creates a bitter smile on my lips.

I don't want to go into details but I'll never forget the things that I've learned as I sweat going up and conquer the summit.

You know what's stopping us from doing the best things in life? Fear.

Go out, explore and takes risks.
