Hindi ako credible source kaya I highly recommend for you to attend a formal class and get the first hand knowledge from the experts.

PLEASE!

Huwag MAGMAGALING.
Abang lang kayo sa Seazoned for their next schedule.
Visit their Facebook page for announcements

Now going back, I would like to share what are the things we need to consider before scheduling dive trips:

- Always check forecast, wind direction and swell.
The quality of your dives and safety will depend on the condition of the ocean.

In case matuloy yung dive niyo, ito naman yung mga bagay na need mo iconsider before going out there in the water.

- No dairy and sweets - Yes, as much as you want it, you need to abstain from eating it as these promotes mucous production that could lead to equalization issues during your dive.

- No alcohol - For you and your buddy's safety. Guilty ako dito kasi I have tried diving na may hang over, ayun fish feeding to the max. Masakit sa ulo at hindi ko na uulitin (that's what they said)

- No caffeine - Remember, we need to lower our heart rate for longer breath hold, if we drink coffee tataas yung heart rate mo. Naalala mo yung una mong naramdaman nung una mo siyang nakita? yung tibok ng puso mo dati. Ganong ganon!

What to bring?

2. Anti histamine - First aid to any allergic reactions lalo na kapag accidentally tumama sa corals (MAKE SURE NA MAGPATINGIN SA DOCTOR AFTER in the event na lumala yung sting. HUWAG UMASA SA GOOGLE ACADEMY) - ALL CAPS PARA INTENSE.

3. Nasal spray - Para maitaboy ang masasamang espiritu! Charot! In case clogged yung nostrils at makatulong sa pag equalize. Sayang naman effort if hindi makapag dive diba?

5. Extra snorkel/mask - May mga panahon talagang medyo tatanga tanga tayo at nawawala yung gears natin, yes we all have those days so mabuti ng may extra.
Things to check underwater:
1. Current - check mo if my jowa na, ay! I mean check mo if may under current. Minsan kapag may under current mahirap mag ascend so nakakapanic. Huwag maging ignorante!

2. Jelly fish yan yan!

Syempre, paano ka makaka aura if malabo un visibility. IF visibility is bad, make sure na malapit lang ang distansya nyo at madali nyong makita ang isa't isa.

4. Coral reef - distansya amigo -- bago kapa ma fall at masaktan. Kidding aside, Corals are animals, tayo ay mga bisita lamang sa bahay nila kaya respect the ocean, respect their HOME! Huwag mo silang apakan! may feelings yang mga yan at may inuuwiang mga pamilya!

Actual dive TO DO LIST:
1. Always make eye contact - Kahit masakit, tandaan!

2. Look for signs of discomfort - Check mo lang si buddy mo pag parang uneasy siya. The more na hindi siya comfortable sa environment niya the more  na hindi magiging maayos yung dives niya.

*Give assistance immediately to cramps and stings

3. Look for signs and symptoms of LMC (loss of motor control) or Black out

Sometimes kapag hindi nabigyan ng maayos na attention, yung LMC could lead to Black out. It can happen anytime kaya mabuti ng handa ka.
Common things to check with your buddy:
Lip color (blue lips)
Dizziness
Numbness
Loss of motor control

In case LMC/Black Out - APPLY "PROPER" RESCUE PROCEDURE (All caps to kasi it needs a formal class to learn yung rescue procedure, again - huwag iasa sa Google University yung buhay mo at buhay ng dive buddy mo)
Rescue procedures  (sa mga basag na puso)
1. Get diver
2. Remove sharp objects (charot!) belt po yung huhubarin if meron siyang suot na weight belt
3. Keep head above water
4. Initiate BTT ( blooowww tap talk)

In case diver wont recover:
1. Tow him/her to shore if shore dive or boat if boat dive
2. Call for help - Make sure aware yung mga nakapaligid sa inyo kung anong nangyayari
3. Ambulance and bring him/her to the nearest hospital
4. Basic Life Support (You can perform BLS while waiting for help)

By the way, yung BLS is not covered sa Dive hacks class the Seazoned but if you want to learn kindly reach out to Red Cross (Hindi ko rin alam kung paano, so better to route all your queries to them)

Important reminders:
1. No diving after LMC or black out - Huwag matigas ulo please.
2. Seek doctors help when stings get worst - It is always better to seek medical professional's advise for health issues.

Things to remember:
1. Be open with fellow divers, if you're not a confident diver - tell them so they can assist you. Lower your pride, lahat naman tayo nag start with few knowledge lang.

2. List down things to improve, every dive is a learning.

3. Seek medical help if needed (ears, chest, sinuses).

It takes repeated practice to perfect this process pero sabi nga nila we can never prepare ourselves sa mga ganitong pangyayari kaya mas mabuti na yung meron kang background.

Totohanan na (2 hour pool session)
